Pratt Industrial has over 35,000 sq. feet of manufacturing and warehouse space, including a full-service machine shop for custom assemblies. Based on customers’ specific needs, Pratt Industrial’s knowledgeable and experienced staff of engineers and representatives can help to increase manufacturing productivity and efficiency by providing the right valve for your application.
Pratt utilizes 2 internally driven shafts, made of a heat treated 416 Stainless Steel construction, creating a strong drive connection while allowing for a high flow characteristics disc.
Full Length (upper and Lower) Nylatron bushings offer superior protection against friction, corrosion, and impacts. Pratt's unique bushing design provides protection against shaft side loading.
A seat selection of EPDM, Buna-N, or Viton.
Pratt's seat design utilizes 3 tongue and groove connection points to the valve body. Seats remain secure and stable even under high dead-end pressure and full vacuum services. The center tongue not only locks the seat in place, but allows rubber material to flow into the center body groove when cycling the valve, drastically reducing the operating torque.
Made of Ductile Iron ASTM A-536 Grade (65-45-12) with ENP plating or Nylon 11 coating, CF8M Stainless Steel, or Aluminum Bronze.
The BF Series utilizes a thin profile, high tensile strength disc that maximizes Cv's and allows for a 230psi pressure rating.
We've developed a robust secondary stem sealing system with v-packing under compression for the top shaft and with a captive o-ring and end cap for the bottom.
This unique stem design prevents leakage to atmosphere from both the upper and lower stem journals while meeting all API 609 requirements.
The center rib not only locks the seat into place, but it also allows rubber material to flow into the center body groove when cycling the valve.
This translates to the BF Series, on average, requiring 25% less torque 2'' - 12'' and 35% lower torque 14'' - 24''.
